The Hotel Restaurant Zum Dragoner is your friendly restaurant and bar in Peiting in the Weilheim-Schongau district. One of the most beautiful regions of the Bavarian foothills of the Alps awaits our guests in the hotel’s surrounding area. Our spacious, comfortably furnished rooms, fine dining in our restaurant and authentic Bavarian hospitality make every stay a uniquely wonderful experience.
Hotel Restaurant Zum Dragoner is a historic hotel that has been part of Peitinger’s history since the 18th century. The founder of the hotel served in the Dragoon regiment. The Gruber family has been managing the hotel since 1905 and it’s the little details that make guests feel it’s a real family-run business. We maintain personal and confidential relationships in the hotel and the kitchen is also personally run by the manager.
You will find a number of typically Bavarian delicacies on our menu as well as modern vegetarian and international specialities. Our delicious fish and game dishes have been firm favourites of our guests for many years. We obtain our venison and many other products from local hunters and farms. Seasonal offerings such as our popular asparagus and mushroom dishes provide culinary variety.
Xaver is our hotel bar and a genuine whisky lounge with lots of character. Enjoy delicious single malts or tasty bourbons from all over the world. We have an impressive selection of beers, wines and spirits. The stylish, modern furnishings create a pleasant atmosphere in the room. Looking from the bar, your attention is drawn to a large wall paining featuring some of the most beautiful scenes from tranquil Peiting.
We also offer various events throughout the year. Our team always has something to offer our guests. The calendar includes whisky tastings and culinary events as well as sampling sessions with rum or gin specialities.
